STRIKES AND SPARES

20 February 2015

Bradyn had his third well check earlier this week. He weighed 39 lbs. and measured 39 inches tall. The doctors were very impressed with how well he cooperated.

We were invited to the RAF Mildenhall Bowling Alley for a birthday party today. It was Bradyn's first time bowling and he loved it. He didn't like having to wait his turn and didn't understand the point of keeping the ball in one lane, but he had the highest score. It was a group effort. STRIKE

Toddler bowling is exhausting! Glad we got them all together for a group picture.
Ryan-friend from school

Bradyn had to show Ryan how it's done. Ryan was NOT impressed!

He was saying, "Awesome" for the Lego themed party!

Happy Birthday to Grandma Rachel tomorrow! We love you!

A Day On The Farm

Yep Grandpa, I think he's ready to come help you and uncle Joel on the farm!

Marysol and I couldn't tear him away! From cows to bunnies, donkeys and sheep. This little boy loved his day at Wimpole Hall and Farm near Cambridge. He liked the pigs the best. A boy after Grandma Rachel's heart!

Back in Birmingham

7 February 2015

Since we celebrated Bradyn's third birthday a week early, we had a family get away to Birmingham. This was our view from the top of our hotel-Hyatt Regency....gorgeous hotel, amazing city! Definitely in the top 3 favorite cities to visit in England. Just 2 1/2 hours on the train.

B Turns the Despicable 3!

24 January 2015

B is 3!

We were exhausted after this party. After you see all the pictures, you'll see why. Was it worth it? Absolutely! Would I do it again? Yes, but only if my mom makes the cake. I frosted half a cake and wanted to quit! Haha! Luckily Darren and uncle Morey pitched in with the cupcakes and Macho Taco Bar. I think next year when B turns 4, we will all go to Godfather's for pizza! Our England family and friends are great, but I can't wait to get back to the states so B has cousins to party with. Happy Birthday to Great Aunt Susan today, Aunt T tomorrow and Aunt Sarah on Wednesday! I think the best birthdays happen in January! :D

Thanks a "minion" to my mom who sent all the Despicable Me decor! (I have learned from the best!) And of course Pinterest for all the free ideas! ;)

A Day - Or Two -To Play

4 January 2015

So Bradyn and I found another playground we didn't know existed the other day in base housing. This was on the one, maybe two days it was "nice" enough here England to play outside.  We had to take advantage and get some vitamin D on these pasty faces of ours. It was the perfect toddler-sized playground. The kind moms don't fit on, even with Bradyn persuading me-" Mommy, come on!" With a strong emphasis on, "Come on!" I gave in a couple times. I just took a lot of pictures, like all moms do. Mostly I just laughed a lot. He's such a ham!

Just like Daddy-tall

Hmm, too tall to be a pilot?

This little boy just didn't want to sit around the house all day. A kid after my own heart! We took a stroll around the neighborhood. He could have kept going, I was a little cold. HAHA!

Happy 2015

3 January 2015

Happy New Year! Here's to a year filled with happiness, good health and prosperity.  We are looking forward to what this year has coming our way and can't wait until we move closer to friends and family in May.  I will complete one more quarter of teaching while Darren is TDY in Florida and Las Vegas for 8 weeks.  Once again the Air Force has great timing!! (sarcasm)

These are some of the pictures we took in the last couple weeks. I can't believe it is our last Christmas and NYE here in England.  We have made some amazing friends along the way who will forever be considered family.

November Catch Up

6 December 2014

Wow, it's the first part of December and I'm just now getting around to updating the blog from November. We had three Thanksgiving celebrations this year. One was dinner and an art auction at Bradyn's school-daycare on base.  Darren and I arrived there a little late, so we didn't get to eat, but Bradyn was once again shoveling it in! While I was snapping photos, Darren bid 30 cans on some art work B helped create. Unfortunately, someone wanted it a little more than he did.

Thanksgiving 1 & 2
Using a fork properly this year....tear.

The best celebration took place in Edinburgh, Scotland. Finally they have a quick Ryanair flight!  Only 100 pounds round trip for the three of us.  Friends Joe and Brandon (Uncle Joe and Uncle Morey) flew with us from London Stansted to Edinburgh for three days.

We took a bus from the airport to the city center. As we walked to our apartment, we saw Santa and his reindeer and a few sketchy looking elves and stopped to take some pictures. I had to sit in Santa's sleigh too.

We stayed in a large four bedroom apartment just behind Edinburgh Castle.  No traditional turkey and fixings for us this year. We made beef stew and it was delicious!

Joe-Edinburgh Castle Gardens
Most of the time was spent walking around and enjoying the festivities at the Edinburgh Christmas Market. Loved those hot toddies! There was a train and of course Bradyn's favorite, a Lightning McQueen ride!

Morey and B -Race-O-Rama

The return flight home was not as much fun. There was a security breech and we had to deplane, walk back through the airport, and wait outside in the cold for a couple hours. We spent another two hours in line at security again.
We finally arrived at Stansted 5 hours later.

Overall it was an unforgettable trip and we made some great memories! Morey snapped some great shots of us, including this one, at the Edinburgh Castle Gardens.
