Buffalo Sighting
Chena Hot Springs
Scott, Sena, Darren and I spent Vday at Chena Hot Springs. It took us a little over an hour to drive 60 miles on a winding, bumpy road. Darren and I have been close, but never visited the "resort". We first toured the ice museum, originally built as a ice hotel 6 years ago. There were many sculptures made from ice, including our ice bed and martini glasses. The temperature stays at a chilly 20 degrees year round. We were amazed at all the Chinese tourists in their big puffy blue snow gear. :) Gotta love tourists! Afterwards, we sat in the hot springs for about an hour and just relaxed. The temperature outside was 10 above. The water was 70-80 degrees. It was definitely a great day. Darren surprised me earlier with a Movado watch. I'm so lucky!
