So we bought this walker yesterday in hopes of getting Bradyn to sit up straight and build up his neck muscles more. After his 4 month checkup, (which Darren took him to btw) Dr. Tille said she was a little concerned with Bradyn's flat spot on the back of his head and his neck tilt. I thought it would eventually even out as he got older and started sitting up, but I guess not. So a lady from EDIS-(Educational and Developmental Intervention Services), wants to come out and do some exercises with him in a couple weeks and see what types of equipment we have him using. Hopefully this will get him on the right track. Tummy time just isn't enough with that 98th percentile cranium! Plus he dispises being on his belly. Bradyn would much rather be up on his feet, which Dr. Tille was impressed with. I think he will be walking before he crawls!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! We're just busy over here celebrating the beginnings of Bradyn being able to sit up on his own! We have our sitters, Patrick and Sarah to thank. He was with them in the mornings this week. Starting tomorrow, I go back to work full time. Darren and Bradyn will get to spend the day together for the next few weeks and then we will have help from Grandma and Grandpa Page!
15 weeks
In the middle of the night, while B and I were trying to sleep, the Kentucky Derby was on. Of course Darren put a bet down. His horse, "I'll Have Another" won! 13-1 odds and he put down $40. Sometimes that guy is so lucky!!
I have been busy going through pictures and uploading them to Shutterfly. Of course, there is an app for that too. So I can upload from my iPhone and iPad and with a couple clicks a week or two later they are in my mailbox. So convenient for a working mom!
Look at this comparison! 1 week and 14 weeks. Aw, he was so tiny!
Over the past week we have started sleep training, from the rock and play to the cradle. Supposedly this is the best time to start the switch, and even though it was rough at first, I stuck with it. The first night Bradyn slept 6 hours straight. This kid is too easy! We are day 5 of him sleeping in the cradle. It's funny how he kicks around and ends up at the bottom turned sideways.
