25 March 2012
It was a busy week, so I'm just now getting around to a new post on Sunday. The highlight of my week was visiting the lovely Peacocks tearoom in Ely with my friend, Florence. I met Florence and her family while we were stationed at Eielson. Darren and her husband, Roland worked together and her kids went to North Pole Elementary where I taught. We had a nice time basking in the sun catching up over Prein Lune tea (with hints of almond and honey-yum!), brie with cranberry sauce sandwiches, and of course scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream. By far the best afternoon tea I have had here in England!
The weather this week was beautiful, but Bradyn didn't get to enjoy it all that much. He had his 2 month check up and shots. Poor lil guy was running a fever and was motionless as he let out his pitiful little groans. He was at least eating and was back to his chipper self after a couple days....
9 weeks new |
He weighed in at 12 pounds and measured 22.6 inches long, which were in the 50th percentile. Then they measured his head at 16 inches, which is in the 90th percentile! Big surprise there. :D Dr. Hall was a little worried about his head shape and wants us to go in on Tuesday for a CT scan to make sure it is developing normally. I'm not too worried about it and hope giving him more tummy time and positioning him so he turns to his right side will eventually help even things out! Otherwise, he was given a perfect bill of health and he said to keep up the good work. He's a strong little boy!
Darren has been busy buying cars again. I think he has five he is working on selling, or should I say making deals on. He's also still working mid-shift, which we are hoping he continues so he can take care of Bradyn when I go back to work again. Only two more weeks off for me, then I do 3 weeks of half days and back to full time for 6 more. Time is going by way too quickly!
