Oh, how I love B. Let me count the ways... I love the way his little buddha belly sticks out just enough for me to rub it.
I love the way he stands in front of a mirror (or metal toilet paper holder that's just his height) and admires his reflection.
I love the way he says, "Hayee" and "Hi"-mimicking me when he enters a room. I love the way his little brain works and all of the curiosity that comes with it. (I do not like the cleaning up after the curiosity, however.) I love the way he leans his head around just enough for his eyes to meet mine when I'm looking away from him as if to say, "Hey, mom remember me?" I love the way he walks to the car all by himself and understands me when I say, "Ok, let's go!"
I love the way he runs from across the room to greet me after a long day. I love the way he puts both arms around my neck and squeezes tightly so I won't let go. I love the way he sits on the floor with a book and reads with a loud, distinctive voice. I love the way he gets excited when I start running water for a bath. I love the way he goes to sleep and sometimes has a case of the sillies, spitting and laughing instead of closing his eyes.
Mr. B 12 1/2 Months
I love all the ways he reminds me of myself and Darren. When I want to be serious he makes me laugh instead. The perfect little mixture of the two of us and I love him more each day.
5 February 2013 January came and went and is all but a blur now. We filled it with so many good things, like the first snowfall, a first visit from Aunt Tina and a second from Grandma Rachel, and of course a first birthday! So many new and exciting experiences jam-packed into one month. How does one survive being sick for two weeks with a fussy toddler, a hubby on night shift and manage to throw a fabulous Mustache Bash? Family-thats how! If only I had this much help every day, all would be right in the world. Right?
So February, you will be more low key, especially now that Darren is TDY for 6 weeks. To Florida and Vegas. So basically he is getting a paid six week vacation. Why does he always get to have all the fun?

Sitting here feeling miserable with the flu, but Bradyn is helping ease the pain some. He's sitting perfectly still watching cartoons on tv. (Oh, why couldn't he have been this cooperative all day.) He's quite attached to me and is of course going through separation anxiety.
He's moved into the pretoddler room and doesn't even take a bottle while he is there. The week before he was drinking two during the day. He's so busy with a routine, he doesn't notice he hasn't had a bottle. The transition lasted just 5 days and overall he's doing very well with the others. It's leaving me that we're struggling with. It breaks my heart, but by the time I pick him up all is forgiven. Watching him interact with little people and eating with them at the big boy table is quite possibly the cutest part about him right now.
